What Makes Grit-Grip Different?
If you’re a woodturner, you know the routine—cut sandpaper into little squares, fold it over, try to keep hold of it, and eventually end up with a pile of mystery grits beside the lathe.
Grit-Grip is a better way to sand.
Unlike ordinary sandpaper, Grit-Grip has abrasive on both sides of a thin, flexible cushioned core. That little bit of padding makes a surprisingly big difference. It’s comfortable to hold, easier to control, and flexible enough to follow the curves of bowls, vessels, spindles and other turned projects.
Bend it. Fold it. Wrap it around a curve. Your fingers become the sanding block, giving you the feel and control you want without fighting a flimsy piece of paper.
And because both sides are abrasive, there’s no slippery paper backing. When one side starts showing wear, simply flip it over and keep sanding.
Grit-Grip can be used wet or dry and comes in a wide range of grits, so you can work from initial sanding right through to a beautifully refined surface.
Why should a woodturner try it?
Better grip. More control. Flexible on curves. Comfortable in your hand. Abrasive on both sides.
It’s still sandpaper—just rethought for the way we actually use it.
Try Grit-Grip at your lathe. You may not want to go back to those little squares of ordinary sandpaper.
